How it works at an event

  • Pick the size. A quartet (two violins, viola and cello), a trio or a duo. Which one fits?
  • Split the group if it helps. At one gala, one violinist played in the lobby while the other three played in the main room.
  • Music for the crowd. Classical pieces, pop songs and holiday music like Carol of the Bells, all from one library. A song that isn't on the list is usually $25 to $50, depending on how complicated it is. See the song list.
  • Sound. Strings play acoustic. For a big room we can use the DJ's microphone or add a sound engineer. Does a string quartet need a microphone?
  • Setup. The players sit, so we need a chair for each player in each spot. They arrive about 30 minutes before the music starts, in suits and ties or black dresses, and don't need meals.
  • Paperwork in one place. Your contract and payments live in your BookLive client portal. A 50% deposit holds the date, the balance is due a week before, and paying by bank transfer (ACH) keeps the fee low.
